Released on\u00a0LeCam Records, the song went\u00a0all the way to Number One for three weeks in\u00a0March 1962. \u00a0&#8220;Hey Baby&#8221; was a flat-out smash, taking\u00a0the boys to Europe\u00a0for a tour of Great Britain\u00a0with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=W8VvoVsk9ko\">Merseybeat<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0groups managed by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brian_Epstein\">Brian Epstein<\/a><\/strong> like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Big_Three_(English_band)\">The Big Three<\/a><\/strong>, The Statesmen, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Fourmost\">The Four Jays<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>And then\u00a0June 21, 1963 happened, at the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beatlesbible.com\/1962\/07\/21\/live-tower-ballroom-new-brighton-wallasey-18\/\">Tower Ballroom in New Brighton<\/a><\/strong>, England. Added to the show that night was another, if barely-noticed Brian Epstein group, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebeatles.com\/sites\/one\/index.html\">The Beatles<\/a><\/strong>. And while popular mythology has <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.brucechannel.com\/home.html\">Bruce teaching John harmonica<\/a><\/strong> while hanging out backstage, that&#8217;s not quite accurate. Delbert\u00a0has come up with one of the great gigs. His annual <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.delbert.com\/\">Sandy Beaches Cruise<\/a><\/strong>, with a bunch of his musical friends, playing and partying on a cruise ship. Now in it&#8217;s 22nd year, Bruce and Delbert got together in\u00a02003 for a 41st anniversary edition of &#8220;Hey! Baby&#8221;.
