I was gonna say this is a big\u00a0anniversary day for Carole King and Gerry Goffin<\/a><\/strong>‘s Greatest Hit.\u00a0But that’s ridiculous.<\/p>\n

There is no such thing<\/em> as Carole King and Gerry Goffin’s Greatest Hit.<\/p>\n

I mean on any given day it could be “I’m Into Something Good<\/a><\/strong>“, or “Chains”,\u00a0“(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman,\u00a0or “Pleasant Valley Sunday<\/a><\/strong>“. Or, like when I checked the list<\/a><\/strong> today and the Freddie Scott classic “Hey Girl<\/a><\/strong>” caught my eye, and “mind’s ear”.<\/p>\n

Suffice to say “The Locomotion<\/a><\/strong>“, takes second chair to none of those songs, and the fact it did go hit the Top Five\u00a0in three different decades perhaps defines it as their most successful song. So for Throw Back Thursday on Keener, a celebration of “The Locomotion”, beginning with the original, #1 in the\u00a0summer of 1962, it’s Little Eva<\/a><\/strong> on Shindig!<\/p>\n
