We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and are now preparing to jump
the next hurdle - New Year's Eve.
Christmas was made a little merrier for two of our "Service Mothers. II
Carole Wiedeman's son Jim arrived home from Denver, Colorado Friday,
December 22, and Wanda Jarvis had an unannounced visit from her Navy son
Bernie Tuesday, December 19. She had expected him for the holidays but
didn't know he had arrived until he greeted her at the door upon her return
home from work.
Our Keenergold album appears to be heading for its usual sellout. Frank
Maruca reports that approximately 7000 had been sold as of Friday, December
22.
Don Wagner decided to get away from it all by spending his Christmas with
his family in Illinois. He went by train and expected to help steer it from
the club car!
The winner of the Thorn McAn His and Hers Sweepstakes Contest (and his girl)
collected their prizes Tuesday, December 26. They were Bob Ricketts of
Farmington and Sue Orlando of Birmingham. First prize was a 1968 Pontiac GTO
for him and a 1968 Pontiac Firebird for her.
The flu bug has been biting pretty hard around the station lately. If it
keeps up much longer, Mr. Patterson might be on the switchboard and Mrs.
Knorr may be a part-time disc jockey.
Bill Settles, one of our super salesmen, is on vacation this week but he
didn't travel as far as several other KeeNeRites - he's in Florida.
Don't forget the Harlem Globetrotters - KeeNeR DJ's basketball exhibition
Saturday, December 30 at Olympia.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
