KeeNeR Kongratulations to Barbara Williams who celebrated her 12th wedding anniversary last Sunday.

Sean Conrad recently returned from a one-week vacation, spending part of the time on Mackinac Island.

The Media Award of Junior Achievement was presented to the station on Monday, August 25. "in appreciation and recognition of your outstanding contribution to the cause of free enterprise and for your concern and active participation in the field of educating our youth in the principles of our nation's business system. II Frank Maruca and Paul Cannon accepted the award for the station.

Newsman Brian Wood is on vacation this week, spending the time in and around this area.

Tom Neal and Gary Granger made an appearance at an ALSAC benefit held Sunday, August 24 at Edgewater Park.

Visitors to the station: Five people on Thursday, August 21: Rachel BarOn, from Tel Aviv, Israel; Rosalind Lax, a teacher from Chicago; and three students from Oakland University - Allan Einstein, Ira Lax and Larry Lax. Also, former KeeNeRite Barbara Collins on Wednesday, August 20.

Those of you who get the Dearborn Guide may have received the insert of the Bank of Dearborn's newspaper announcing the Grand Opening of their Village Plaza Office o.o did you notice the picture of Mary Desentz's daughter Linda on page 7. Linda Desentz is a secretary at the new office.

A Big KeeNeR Welcome to our newest DJ, Chris Ryan, who will be assuming the all night show effective tonight. Chris comes to us from WPTR - Albany, New York.

Channel 50 will be broadcasting a telethon on Labor Day with Jerry Lewis to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy. Watch in particular the scenes showing the camp for these youngsters. the narrator will be Paul Cannon. Paul may also be appearing in person on part of the show.

Monday, August 25, WKNR started an interesting contest called Keener Generation Quiz - pitting contestants over 30 and under 30 against each other with questions applying to one generation which have to be answered by the other generation.

PROJECT DETROIT Subject for Sunday, August 31, 1969 is "The Candidates Speak" - A special pre-election progmm featuring the four major candidates for Detroit Mayor: Roman Gribbs, Mary Beck, Richard Austin and Walter Shamie.
