The Keener Almanac

(1953) WKNX-TV 57 signs on on Saginaw. It will move to channel 25 in 1965 and become WEYI-TV in 1972. In 1953 few have UHF decoders to watch it.
(1964) WKNR News reports the death of Gen. Douglas MacArthur at 84.
(1971) Aretha's Bridge Over Troubled Water debuts at number 11 on the WKNR Music Guide. It's one of 16 Keener hits for the Queen of Soul.
